The White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat was founded by David VanDerveer. He started when he bought an A frame in 1982 at 19 years old, which is now the Castle, and has since built on property he acquired throughout the years.

 

David's passion for nature, people, and Integral Yoga, fuels his 30 + year project: a self-sustaining retreat center in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains.  The White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat is a part of his vision for our global community. A sharing of the area’s natural beauty, attracting people from different walks of life together to learn, play, and grow. Having traveled to 40 + countries, David always enjoys meeting people from different parts of the world.
